New Things...

Two big things this week! One, the FREE printable meal planner for preserved foods (I really wish I could come up with a shorter name!) was huge and took a ton of brain power. Made my head hurt actually. But number TWO is just as exciting, at least to me! (And it also made my head hurt.)

Homesteading on Grace has been hosting my posts of our homestead and our homeschool, and I never felt like I could gracefully combine the two. I felt bad writing homeschool posts for my homestead readers, and vice versa. So I decided to separate the two! I'm really excited about it, I feel much more at home with both nicely separated. Not that homeschooling isn't a part of our homestead, so I'm sure it will still come up from time to time, but this way if you only want to read my homeschooling/learning/classical education posts, you can! Plus, we'll be able to build a homeschool community around that blog, where we've built a homestead community around this one.

So it's brand new, and not full yet, but introducing... (drum roll please...)

Ahh!! Pretty, huh? I love it. Grammarlings, because it's a blog about the classical method and classical education, and you start in the Grammar stage. I'm very much in the Grammar stage, not just my kids, but me too. I want to learn. And I want to learn well. So there's where I'll be studying and learning. I hope you'll join me!

Homesteading on Grace will still be here. I love this space too, because I love our little homestead. And I need somewhere to write about all the barnyard happenings, the growing garden, and the good foods we eat and put up.

So over the summer, I will slowly be moving all the home school posts on Homesteading to Grammarlings. (And adding new content too!) It will take a while, because I'm not quite sure how to do it. Hopefully, by the end of it, both blogs will be nicely organized. Thanks for being here, and I hope this will work!

  1. That's exciting! I think you'll have a bit of a headache getting stuff moved, but once it's done, you'll be super happy you did it. Wishing your transitioning goes smoothly.

  2. Very exciting! I home schooled both my kiddos - well worth it - You might be surprised how many homesteaders are also homeschooling. Good luck with the switch and enjoy! -Carole
