How to Save Money Shopping Online!

I like shopping online. We live out in the country, near a smallish town that has limited shopping opportunities. So shopping online gives me a wider variety.

Plus I don't have to get 4 kids out of the van.

Here's how I save a little money shopping online:

1. Google it. After you find what it is you want to buy, Google the exact name or product code. Just this week, I found something on Amazon that I want to get for Gideon. It cost $60 something, but when I Googled it, I found another small store that had it for $45.

2. Google it again. Once you've found your item and your store, Google the store for coupons. Retailmenot.com usually has coupon codes I can use. And there are other sites like that. I always look for free shipping too.

3. Ebates. Have you heard about Ebates? Ebates is a website that (I believe) has a ton of affiliate links to stores, and instead of them keeping all the affiliate money, they pay you back to shop through Ebates. It's only a small percentage, but it adds up and they send you a check. I've been using Ebates since 2008 and have gotten more than $200 back. (I don't shop a lot.) Like I said, it's not much. But I'm getting $30 back for shopping through Ebates this year so far. When you go through Ebates, you click on the store you want to shop in, and you go to the store to shop. Ebates just puts a tracking ticket on you and if you spend any money in that store, you get some back. I shopped at Gap over Black Friday weekend and got 12% back.

If you sign up through my referral code, I'll get a referral bonus. So do it! Click Here!

The only problem, that Mom and I both have, is forgetting to go through Ebates before we buy something.

    1. If you shop online a lot, it's nice to get that check in the mail. I'm excited because I'm already getting back $30 this quarter. And I haven't finished shopping yet!

  2. I use Ebates... when I remember. I also take online surveys that are paid, and use Swagbucks when I remember. I also do a lot of Googling to find the lowest price on stuff. Usually it's Amazon, if I'm buying online, although I get 5% off and free shipping with my Redcard at Target online.

    1. It's hard to remember sometimes! I tried to understand swagbucks a couple years ago, but couldn't figure it out! I need to look back into it. I'll tell my husband about the online surveys, he loves that sort of thing. Thanks for your ideas Stephanie!

  5. Great hints here, I'm going to check out Ebates as well, (through your site). I do shop online as well and I always check prices when I do. Thanks for sharing at Good Morning Mondays. Blessings

I have affiliate links on this blog! This means if you click on one and make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This does not affect the price of your purchase, but it is a wonderful way to support my family and me through this blog and to keep this blog up and running. So we thank you!
